We are delighted to welcome you back to Freden, Alfeld, Einbeck and Hildesheim for the 34th festival season on 29 June and from 2-10 August 2025.

The theme „Harmonies of Faith’ was born a few years ago when the city and district of Hildesheim applied to become European Capital of Culture 2025, which is why the 34th festival season is also part of this year’s follow-up event KulturRegionale Hildesheim 2025.

Throughout the history of music, individual faith has been the inspiration for great musical works that we would not want to miss today. The composers have expressed deeply human concerns in them. The aim of the 34th International Freden Music Days is to present these outstanding works and make the many facets of faith tangible through music.

By presenting music as a universal language, we also hope to promote exchange and understanding between different faith communities. It is therefore also a musical theme of peace with a promotion of more tolerance among the Abrahamic religions of Judaism, Christianity and Islam.
